Matatiele City have officially been crowned champions of the Hollywoodbets Regional League Stream A after securing another crucial victory over North End FC.
The win confirmed their place at the top of the table with 41 points from 17 matches, putting them out of reach of second-placed Burning Fire FC, who sit on 37 points with only one game remaining.
Matatiele City’s strong campaign saw them register 13 wins, two draws, and just two losses, scoring 30 goals and conceding only nine — the best defensive record in the league.
They will now advance to face the Stream B champions in a playoff, where the winner will go on to compete against other regional champions across the Eastern Cape for promotion to the ABC Motsepe League.
