West Pack Lifestyle, a well-known South African retail chain, has reaffirmed its position in the market after completing a business rescue process. The company says it is now focusing on long-term sustainability and strengthening ties with local suppliers.
Commitment to South African Roots
According to director Chris Da Silva, community support played a critical role in the company’s recovery. “Our stores are alive and well, our shelves are full, and we are excited to continue offering the value and variety people know us for,” he said.
The group says that about 70% of its products are sourced locally, while imports are channelled through South African businesses to ensure the economic benefits remain within the country.

Da Silva noted that while retail continues to face challenges, West Pack Lifestyle has emerged more resilient. The company’s priorities now include:
- Strengthening stability across its branches,
- Supporting franchise owners, and
- Ensuring affordable products remain available for South African households.
