Destitute woman Noma-efese Tseke from Nomlacu in Bizana under Winnie Madikizela Mandela local Municipality whom her seven-roomed house burnt down to ashes when the fire broke on Saturday the 2nd of October 2022 is seeking for public assistance as she lost everything.
Tseke didn’t just lose her home, she lost her business also, because everything that was inside the house got destroyed in that fire. All the machinery and tools she used for generating an income for her family are beyond repairs.
According to reports the fire started on the electricity prepaid box, just after the load shedding.
Unfortunately, there was no one at home at the time of the incident.
Meanwhile, Eskom spokesperson in the district Philisiwe Gabela said the residents should report such incidents immediately so that Eskom can intervene. Adding that Eskom conducts investigation.
We are a family of Seven living in 1 room. We are in need of shelter, clothes and food. I can be very grateful if the municipality can assist me with the machinery that I lost so I can grow my business again. – said Tseke..
