More than 16 million South African residents rely on the social grants from the South African government (SASSA). Every month, applicants receive their various social grants between the 1st and 6th of every month.

Provided below is the list of the payment dates for April 2023 social grants;

The Older Persons Grant (as well as any grants linked to these      accounts) will be paid on 4 April 2023.

The Disability Grant (as well as any grants linked to these accounts) will be paid on 5 April 2023.

All other grants (Child Support Grant, Foster Child Grant, Care      Dependency Grant, War Veterans Grant) will be paid on 6 April 2023.

Other types of social grants are paid shortly after these grants.

Grant holders can still collect their money even after the payment dates. The money loaded into their accounts will still be there even after the above mentioned payment dates.

The following stores support grant collections; Boxer, Pick n Pay, Checkers, Save and Shoprite. Payments are also made directly to beneficiaries’ bank accounts.

Application forms are not available online. Visit your nearest SASSA office to get application forms.
