Provincial Serious and Violent Crimes Unit investigates fatal shooting of three young men

The Provincial Serious and Violent Crimes Unit in Gqeberha has launched an investigation into a triple murder that occurred on Saturday, 26 April 2025, in the Kwadwesi policing precinct.

Three Young Men Found Dead with Multiple Gunshot Wounds

According to police reports, at approximately 09:45, officers from SAPS Kwadwesi responded to a shooting complaint at Lixolilizwe Street, Kwadwesi Extension, near a local taxi rank. Upon arrival, police discovered the bodies of three males, aged between 21 and 23, who had sustained multiple gunshot wounds.

Authorities confirmed that three murder cases have been opened. The identities of the deceased will be released once they have been officially confirmed by their families.

Appeal for Information from the Public

The Provincial Serious and Violent Crimes Unit is urging members of the public who may have information related to the incident to come forward. Anyone with information is asked to contact the investigating officer, Detective Lieutenant Colonel Mondi Sitole, at 082 457 2812, or alternatively call Crime Stop at 08600 10111.

Anonymous tip-offs can also be submitted via the MySAPS App. Police emphasized that all information will be treated with strict confidentiality and that callers may remain anonymous.

At this stage, no arrests have been made, and investigations are continuing.
