The OR Tambo District Municipality, led by Speaker Councillor Nonkoliso Ngqongwa, held a community engagement campaign at Nkanga Village Sports Field in ward 27, Libode. The meeting, held under the Nyandeni Local Municipality, brought together residents and government departments to tackle pressing challenges facing the community.

The gathering focused on service delivery issues raised by residents, including water shortages, poor road conditions, drug abuse, frequent break-ins, and incomplete housing projects. Departments such as SASSA, Home Affairs, Agriculture, Local Economic Development, IEC, Health, SAPS, GCIS, and DIF attended to provide direct support and respond to community needs.
