The Alfred Nzo District Municipality, together with the Winnie Madikizela Mandela Local Municipality, celebrated Heritage Day on 17 September 2025, with a major cultural event in Ward 05, Ndayingana, Bizana. This year’s celebration took place at Nonqulana the birthplace of the 1959 Pondo Revolt under the theme “Reimagine Our Heritage Institutions for a New Era.”
