What Happened

The ANCYL delegation gathered at the Mabuyane homestead on Sunday, 21 September, offering words of comfort to the family during their time of mourning. The visit formed part of the league’s tradition of supporting leaders and families within the movement during moments of loss.

Official Response

Speaking on behalf of the ANCYL, Provincial Chairperson Vuyo Jali expressed the league’s sympathy.
“We came here to stand with comrade Mabuyane and his family. Losing a mother is a profound pain, and as the youth of the ANC we felt it important to offer our support in person,” Jali said.

Community Impact

The passing of Mabuyane’s mother has drawn condolences from across the province, with community members in Ngcobo joining political leaders in extending their sympathies. For many, the visit by the ANCYL shows the value of unity and solidarity during times of grief.
