With the high rate of unemployment, the Youth is subjected to a lot of crime and substance abuse, Andisa Ntugwa saw an opportunity that will allow the youth to be engaged in playing, Play station 4 while getting exposure to the use of technology and it also comes with an opportunity of possible taking a prize home.

The 21-year-old from Nomlacu says she wants to bring the youth of Bizana together by creating a space where they can play and learn at the same time. She says the idea is to take the youth out of the streets, she has approached Bargain wholesalers for sponsorship and they jumped in by providing the venue at which the young lady will host the tournament in.

“It’s not a boy’s club anyone who is familiar with playing PS4 is allowed to enter the Knockout tournament, since we are hosting for the first time we want those who already know how to play, as we continue to host we will have those would like to learn and teach them” said Andisa

 

She says she works with a lot of youth on a daily basis, she has seen how young people are not opened up into learning new things, she hopes this event will open more opportunities that could, in the end give employment to the youth or have young individuals create their own games.
