Department of Correctional Services has recently advertised learnership programme with closing date 2023/01/31 in various media platforms.
Prospective applicants between the age of 18-35 are encouraged to apply for this programme, those who are in possession of grade 12, diploma, degree & trade test.
Previous experience has taught the department to be be pro active and they must all go out warning youth not to fall prey of unscrupulous artists who pounce on unsuspecting youth by promising them jobs in the department. They claim that they have connections inside but first must pay them a certain amount of money as for them to attain jobs in DCS. The DCS vehemently warn youth to refrain from that JOB FOR CASH SCAM there is no way that jobs are for cash, this is criminal activity. The department is distancing itself from these dirty and shady deals ((underworld operations).
Those who are encountering unscrupulous con artists are encouraged and advised to report to the Departmental Investigation unit Hotline on 0800 701 701 or fax number 012 323 7901, nearest Correctional Centres, Community Corrections Offices and nearest Police Stations.
