The much-anticipated disciplinary hearing between Sinenkani FC and the South African Football Association Eastern Cape (SAFA EC) has been officially postponed after objections were raised over an incomplete charge sheet.

According to a media statement issued by Sinenkani FC, the club’s legal representatives challenged the SAFA Prosecutor’s charge sheet, which only named Mr. Sodoli as the sole respondent. The Disciplinary Committee (DC) Chairperson subsequently instructed SAFA to amend the charge sheet to include:

  • SAFA EC as the first respondent
  • Mr. Sodoli as the second respondent
  • Mr. Mbangatha as the third respondent

This development follows legal proceedings initiated by Sinenkani FC earlier this year in the Mthatha High Court, where the club sought broader accountability within SAFA EC structures.

The omission of key respondents in the original charge sheet, the club argues, would have undermined the goals of justice and public transparency. Sinenkani FC stressed that their actions are in line with the interests of their supporters and the wider football community, using the hashtags #Justice4TheMasses and #InspiredByThePromisedLand.

The hearing has now been rescheduled for Monday, 19 May 2025 at 10:00 am, to be held at SAFA House.

Sinenkani FC has assured the public that they will provide timely updates as the case progresses.or TikTok summarization.
