Ntokozo “Mapensela” Nomxoko, is recovering well in hospital following a car accident near Port Edward on Sunday night.

In an official statement, the club reassured supporters – affectionately known as the Stubborn Nation – that Mapensela is alive and in stable condition, after rumours falsely claiming his death began circulating on social media.

“He sustained a minor head injury and an arm injury, but is receiving medical care and is expected to be discharged soon,” the statement read.

Sinenkani FC expressed gratitude for the outpouring of concern and support and asked fans to keep Mapensela in their thoughts as he recovers.

The club pledged to keep supporters updated on his condition and urged the public to refrain from spreading misinformation.

“We are confident he will be back behind the lens capturing our moments very soon,” the club said.
