The 2025 edition of the Sabelo Mgotywa Foundation Games was successfully held at Chibini Sports Grounds, bringing together young athletes from across the region to compete in football and netball.
The event aimed to promote youth unity, sportsmanship, and a drug-free lifestyle, drawing strong support from the local community.
Football and netball teams in action
The tournament featured teams such as:
- Football: Allegro, Movers, Young Warriors, Afro XI (defending champions)
- Netball: Young Angels, Big Fighters, and others
Fixtures included tightly contested matches, with several teams aiming to dethrone the defending football champions, Afro XI.

Platform for talent scouts
Top football scouts, including representatives from Chippa United, attended the games to identify promising talent.
The event positioned itself not only as a youth celebration but as a development platform for athletes seeking entry into professional sport.
