KwaZulu-Natal Transport and Human Settlements MEC Siboniso Duma has confirmed that 29 motorists were arrested for drunk driving in Richards Bay and Esikhawini.
The arrests form part of the #NenzaniLaEzweni crackdown by the Road Traffic Inspectorate (RTI).
Duma said 16 drivers were arrested in Richards Bay alone, adding:
“Last night 13 motorists were arrested in Richards Bay and Esikhawini. This number has increased to 29. We mean business.”
