In a significant development that sent shockwaves through the South African football community, Kaizer Chiefs announced the amicable departure of their Head Coach, Molefi Ntseki. Following a meeting on Monday morning, both parties mutually agreed that this decision was in the best interest of the club, especially given the recent run of unsatisfactory results.

Cavin Johnson, a recent addition to the Chiefs family as the Head of the Youth Development Academy, has been appointed as the interim First Team coach. The club’s current assistant coach, Dillon Sheppard, will continue in his role under Johnson’s leadership.

Arthur Zwane, who had been serving as an Assistant Coach, will now return to his former position within the club’s development structures.

Coach Ntseki initially joined Kaizer Chiefs in June 2021 as the Head of Technical and Youth Development before assuming the role of senior team Head Coach in June 2023. This departure marks the end of a significant chapter in the club’s history.

Sporting Director, Kaizer Motaung Jr., expressed his gratitude to Coach Ntseki, saying,
