The 1City Marathon 2025 ended after an impressive talent and strong community support. On 06 December 2025, thousands of athletes and supporters gathered across the metro to celebrate endurance, teamwork, and local sporting spirit.
What Happened?
The 42.2km race delivered fast times and fierce competition in both the men’s and women’s divisions.
Lloyd Bosman claimed victory in the men’s race, followed by Malixole Kalideni in second and Nkosinathi Duma in third.
In the women’s category, Nontokozo Mkhize secured first place. Tracey Campbell finished second, while Refeloe Solomons took third.
The marathon drew runners from across the Eastern Cape and beyond. Crowds lined the route, offering encouragement and celebrating every milestone.
