The South African Social Security Agency (SASSA) has confirmed the grant payment schedule for June 2025. Beneficiaries can expect their payments on the following dates:
- Older Persons Grant: Tuesday, 3 June 2025
- Disability Grant: Wednesday, 4 June 2025
- Children’s Grant: Thursday, 5 June 2025
Please note that these dates apply to permanent social grants. The Social Relief of Distress (SRD) grant follows a separate payment schedule, and beneficiaries will receive notifications via SMS regarding their specific payment dates.
SASSA advises beneficiaries to collect their grants at authorized payment points, including major retail outlets such as Pick n Pay, Shoprite, Checkers, Boxer, and Usave. Alternatively, grants can be received directly into personal bank accounts or through SASSA cards.
It’s important to be aware of misinformation circulating on social media regarding double payments in June. SASSA has officially denied these claims, stating that there will be no double payments and urging beneficiaries to rely only on information from official SASSA channels.
