The South African Social Security Agency (SASSA) has released the official payment schedule for May 2025. The grants will be disbursed as follows:
- Older Person’s Grants will be paid from Tuesday, 6 May 2025.
- Disability Grants will be paid from Wednesday, 7 May 2025.
- Children’s Grants will be paid from Thursday, 8 May 2025.
These payment dates also apply to any other grants linked to the respective accounts.

SASSA has urged beneficiaries not to rush to withdraw their funds on the first day, as the money will remain in the account until it is needed. The agency continues to encourage responsible withdrawal behavior to avoid overcrowding at pay points.
