NTABANKULU STUDENTS CELEBRATED NATIONAL BOOK WEEK.

Ntabankulu schools from all the wards were part of the National Book Week competition that is held every year.  This event was held at the community hall of Silindini in ward 03 and it left the students, teachers and residents with joy and excitement after most of the students were busy reading Xhosa and English books, as well as spelling words.

Zameka Jikijela from the Department of Sports, Arts and Culture said this event is very important for the students of Ntabankulu area as it will develop their mother tongue and the language of the village and increase their mental well-being. Jikijela urged parents to encourage their children about the importance of education. Department of Education in Alfred Nzo was part of the event to provide support.

Among the top performing schools are the Zinyosini, Dumsi, Dumezweni and Zwelakhe schools.
