“Today, we officially hand over this community hall, knowing that it has the potential to become a centre of community life. It is not just a building. Within these walls, unity can be created, solutions can be found, and conversations can be held that will change many lives. Meetings can be held regardless of the weather, unlike the past when important meetings had to be cancelled on account of weather conditions”, said Umzimvubu Acting Mayor, Cllr Ntombizandile Garane.

“This community hall was built to serve your needs and your family’s interests. There are community halls across this Municipality, but we believe you shouldn’t have to travel long distances to get to a community hall. There should be one here, right where you live. Because this is where community happens”, said Cllr Garane.

The R 2,7 million community infrastructure created employment opportunities for at least 20 residents in this village.

The safety of this community hall is in our hands”, concluded Guqa.
