LUSIKISIKI-BORN independent music producer Zukisa Mzaca (24), who goes by the stage name Deepsoul in music production circles and previously released his single “A day in Jambeni” which is currently on 3.4k views on YouTube.

Zukisa has always been passionate and obsessed with music as he started his journey in 2014 while he was in high school. The kind of music he produces comes from his life experiences and struggles. [wpdiscuz-feedback id=”xk7sdzgqaa” question=”Please leave a feedback on this” opened=”0″]“Music is about expressing feelings and making music always helps me to escape my dark side,” he explains.[/wpdiscuz-feedback]

In 2015 he received a message from a Spain music promoter Simon Terry “Mr Afro Depp” offering to promote his music on his YouTube channel which is currently approaching 100k subscribers. Besides having a promoter, he also uses his social media platforms to promote himself and his music.

Zukisa says being an electronic producer in the Eastern Cape has its pits because most people are stereotyped, they always underestimate the kind of sound claiming it’s boring. He adds that because of his positive attitude he always stays true to himself and moves as he believes that electronic sound has a good market in other places.

“I’ll keep on sharing my music online and send it to radio stations as I have tried before and they loved my work, I believe I need to be consistent and keep on growing my sound, “he says.
