Walter Sisulu University (WSU) celebrated Women’s Day in style as brand ambassadors and top-performing female students were honoured at a gala event held at Garden Court, Mthatha.

Guest speaker Dr Tarisai Mpofu delivered an inspiring message on self-belief, urging students to embrace their limitless potential and focus on their priorities. She praised their hard work and dedication, describing their achievements as a testament to perseverance.
Certificates were presented to the honourees in recognition of their academic excellence, serving both as an accolade and as motivation for others to strive for success.
“When we uplift a girl child who is already excelling, we are not only investing in her future but in the future of the community and the nation,” Dr Mpofu concluded.
