The South African National Roads Agency (SANRAL) has confirmed that traffic on the N2 Section 19 near Port St Johns has been diverted onto a reconstructed section between km 57.5 and km 57.8 to allow for emergency slope repairs.
The restriction on heavy loads along this stretch has now been lifted. However, a 24-hour stop/go system will remain in effect until the end of October 2025.
Motorists are urged to obey all signage and proceed with caution.
SANRAL apologised for any inconvenience caused.
