It is with great sadness to learn of the untimely passing of Nkosi Xolile Ndevu, the newly elected Chairperson of the Amathole District Local House. He was a humble and hard working leader who made an enormous and instrumental contribution to the Institution of Traditional Leadership. She said she had a privilege of working with him as a Traditional Leader. His contribution in the institution was enormous, leaving a huge legacy behind. They salute him for his role in this regard.

She added that, he was no stranger in the Mpondo Kingdom having attended various engagements in particular on issues pertaining to the institution of Traditional leadership through the Eastern Cape Provincial House of Traditional Leaders and events including the Mpondo Culture and Heritage Festival, that takes place annually in Ntabankulu accompanying the late King Zwelonke Sigcau. South Africa and the traditional leadership at large have lost a very progressive and developmental leader.
