Ingquza Hill Local Municipality held an urgent council meeting which started with the reading of Capa’s resignation as the speaker of the council. Moments later Nonkosi Pepping was nominated for the position and without any objections, she got sworn in. After the swearing-in of the speaker, Acting Mayor Bulelani Mvulane forwarded his resignation. Mvulane’s resignation led to the nomination of Capa Zoleka, Capa’s daughter who hails from Siphaqeni, Flagstaff. After she has been sworn in she welcomed the position.

She also appreciated being elected on Women’s month saying it’s about time Women take the lead.

Members of the council welcomed this sudden change, hoping it will transform the municipality.” We want to congratulate councillor Capa and as we have a good relationship with you, we hope you are going to do good for Ingquza Hill local Municipality and the residents” says  DA Councillor, Sithembiso Mabasa. Ingquza hill residents are yet to see the change as they have been grieving service delivery for a  long period of time.
