The SA Army Technical Training Centre marked a proud moment on Friday, 8 August 2025, when 92 artisans were officially conferred with their Trade Test Certificates during the annual Technical Service Corps Artisan Graduation Ceremony.
The event, held in a lively and celebratory atmosphere, began under the guidance of Programme Director, Lieutenant Colonel D.O. Moshoati. Unit Chaplain, Chaplain M.M. Sekoba, opened with a scripture reading and prayer. Colonel K.F. Stemmer, Officer Commanding the Centre, welcomed guests, graduates, and attendees, setting the tone for the milestone celebration.
Graduates were conferred by Colonel Stemmer and Major General D. Nyangasya, General Officer Commanding SA Army Support Formation, before reciting the Creed of Artisans, pledging to keep the wheels turning and the gun firing.
In his address, Mr B. Maringa, Business Innovation and Partnership Manager at Tshwane South TVET College, encouraged graduates to further their studies. Major General Nyangasya commended their dedication, saying:
“I challenge you today: Go into the world, not just as workers but as problem solvers. See every task not as a job but as a chance to leave a mark.”
The highlight came as graduates sang with joy after receiving their certificates, while guests and fellow artisans congratulated them on their achievement.
