The organising team of the OR Tambo Homage Concert has issued a public statement expressing gratitude to sponsors, stakeholders, supporters, and audiences following the annual event held on 23 December 2025.
In the statement, the organisers thanked attendees for their continued support despite the inconvenience caused by a delayed announcement to proceed with the concert following the tragic passing of the event’s founder, Volo Da Saint. They said the strong turnout reflected the deep connection supporters have with the concert and its purpose.
The organisers noted that the event served both as a fitting send-off for the late founder and as a commemoration of the legacy of Oliver Reginald Tambo. They emphasised that the OR Tambo Homage Concert belongs to its supporters and that cancelling the long-planned gathering would have deprived audiences of a meaningful and historic occasion.
According to the statement, the organising team expressed appreciation for the patience, understanding, and encouragement shown throughout the period leading up to the concert. They reaffirmed their commitment to preserving and upholding the legacy and spirit that the late founder passionately built.
Looking ahead, the organisers extended New Year wishes to all partners and supporters, expressing hope for renewed strength, unity, and greater achievements as they continue working together to honour the concert’s legacy and build a brighter future.
