On 30 December 2025, Nolubabalo Mcinga formally submitted her resignation to the Secretary-General of MKP. In her letter, she stated that she is stepping away from party politics to lead communities directly through the Azania Movement — a civic initiative, not a political party.
Official Response
No official response from MKP leadership had been issued at the time of publication. However, Mcinga noted that her resignation is not in opposition to MKP, but a move taken “in good faith and with respect”.
“It is both ethically and strategically necessary that I remain independent and not formally affiliated to any political party,” Mcinga said in the statement.
Community Impact
Mcinga stated that the Azania Movement will prioritise grassroots leadership, ethical governance, and civic consciousness. The movement is not aligned with any party and aims to build community-driven responses to social and economic challenges.
