On 1 January 2026, Her Worship the Mayor of Winnie Madikizela-Mandela Local Municipality, Cllr TD Mafumbatha, led a special visit to Oliver and Adelaide Tambo Regional Hospital in Bizana.
Accompanied by Cllr Nelson M. Njomi and hospital board members, the Mayor handed over baby essentials to 22 newborns — including four born on New Year’s Day.
This gesture brought joy to families and showed gratitude to the healthcare workers who continue to serve the community with commitment and care.
