The youth of Maxesibeni is living in fear following the brutal killing of a 21-year-old woman Mbalentle Mangumta, whose body was found lying dead with more than 15 stab wounds, on the 15th of January 2023 in Goso village at Maxesibeni town.

Reports say, she left her home on the 14th of January shortly after receiving a call and never returned. Her body was then found in a Bus stop, the following day.

Women and children’s rights Activist Noloyiso Khafu said, their community is becoming more dangerous and scarier as the number of criminal acts increase daily.

Adding that in the very same area about five people were mugged and there was also a reported rape case.

Terrified Maxesibeni youth came out in numbers on Wednesday to conduct a prayer at Mbali’s home as a way of paying tribute to the late young woman and to show support to the grieving family.

No arrests have been made yet.
