Inkonjane Community Radio marked Nelson Mandela International Day by giving back to the community with a heartwarming initiative. On July 18, 2024, the radio station’s team dedicated their time and effort to paint Candle Light Pre-School at Mbeki Location, bringing joy and color to the young learners.
This selfless act of kindness exemplifies Inkonjane Community Radio’s commitment to positively impacting the community. Candle Light Pre-School is a vital part of the area, providing essential education and care to young children.
“We are thrilled to have had the opportunity to give back to our community on Mandela Day,” said Simbongile Mmbo, Station Manager of Inkonjane Community Radio. “Our team is passionate about making a difference, and this initiative is a shining example of our dedication to the community we serve.”
The painting project was a collaborative effort, with staff members and volunteers from Inkonjane Community Radio working together to bring the pre-school’s walls to life with vibrant colors. The initiative aimed to create a stimulating and engaging environment for the children, promoting their cognitive development and overall well-being.
