On the 17 of September 2025 Nelson Mandela Bay Municipality, in partnership with the Coega Development Corporation, welcomed the SABC Trendz Live crew to the city this month as part of Tourism Month celebrations in Gqeberha. The visit is aimed at showcasing why Gqeberha matters as a premier tourism and business destination, showing how its vibrant culture, heritage, and coastline can attract both local and international visitors.

For years, Gqeberha has been known as a coastal gem with pristine beaches, rich heritage, and a thriving cultural scene. The municipality’s partnership with Coega Development Corporation has strengthened its position as both a business and leisure hub. Hosting SABC Trendz Live offers residents and visitors a chance to see their city through a national lens, celebrating its unique identity and tourism potential.
