What Happened

The event was hosted by the UIF Employee Health and Wellness and Diversity Management Unit.
Men attended information-sharing sessions that addressed challenges affecting their wellbeing.

Advocate Pule Mathaha led a key presentation. He explained different sexual offences and unpacked the impact of Gender-Based Violence on families and communities. In addition, he spoke about maintenance issues and the NPA’s role in the criminal justice system.

Officials said the engagement encouraged men to seek knowledge, support one another and play an active role in preventing violence.

Organisers noted that many male officials struggle with health, stress and social pressures.
As a result, the programme aimed to promote better lifestyle choices, mental wellness and responsible behaviour.

Attendees welcomed the initiative. They said open discussions help challenge harmful stereotypes and create safer environments at work and at home.
