Gauteng Community Safety MEC, Faith Mazibuko claims that the police have obtained this video of the alleged gunman and that about five men opened fire at the patrons that were at the tavern that night. The number of deaths have however risen to sixteen.

130 Bullet cartridges were found on the scene, which according to the police means that the gunman were highly armed.

She continues to state that the video will help with the processing of the investigation and will lead the police to arresting the culprits of this tragic event.

According to ENCA reporter, Heidi Giokos, the SAPS police officers as well as the Amaberete police officers have been patrolling the streets of Nomzamo Park since last night. She says that over 100 police officers were on duty. Each vehicle was being stopped and searched including any person that was walking around in the area.
