Last week Friday Durban Westville Correctional Centre hosted female offender’s poetry competition. Female offenders wrote and recited their poems in line with the theme “The year of Charlotte Maxeke”. The Acting Area Commissioner of Kokstad Management Area Muzibuyile Mdlalose was very happy with performance displayed by female offenders from Kokstad Medium Correctional Centre.

He said as Correctional Services they cannot fight crime alone they need intervantions from other stakeholders.

Offenders from Kokstad Medium Sthembile Dlamini became number two & won R5000 & Micky Ndovela became number three and worn R3000.
