The MK Party issued and official statement ordering Duduzile to apologise for the series of tweets to discipline and protect the image of the party. Floyd Shivambu did not give a personal response to the rants, rather he retweeted the MK Party’s official statement.

On the official statement Jacob Zuma (Duduzile’s Father) issued an ultimatum for Duduzile to apologize publicly or face termination of her MK Party membership, Duduzile apologized “for the profanity” used in her recent posts on X.

In her apology statement, Duduzile acknowledged that expressing her grievances publicly was unfortunate and may have undermined the unity, discipline, and respect that defines the MK Party. However, she also took a swipe at Shivambu, stating that she holds strong and personal views, including serious concerns about internal party matters and her perceptions of how certain issues may be handled within the organization, especially by the Party’s Secretary-General.
