There has been a cash-in-transit in Orlando East, Soweto. Local residents say that the incident happened just before 11 o’clcok Tuesday morning.
In the crime scene there is a bulletproof vest which is believed it is for one of the security officers, this indicates that this was a battle. The cash van is still on the crime scene, and there is a BMW vehicle on the crime scene. It is suspected that the BMW vehicle was used by the robbers.
The scene is still very active, investigators are still busy working on the scene. Windows of a house that is close to the crime scene have all been broken down because of the shooting incident. It is still unknown whether the robbers were able to get away with the cash.
