A 56-year-old man, Dumisani Mnyandu, set to appear in the Molopo Magistrate’s Court in Mmabatho on Thursday, seeking bail after being arrested for driving a stolen vehicle.

Mnyandu was apprehended on July 25 at the Ramatlabana Port of Entry into Botswana while attempting to cross the border with a Hyundai Grand Creta reported stolen in the Eastern Cape on July 14, 2024.

According to Brigadier Sabata Mokgwabone, the Provincial spokesperson, the vehicle, which had KwaZulu-Natal registration plates, was flagged on the circulation system, leading to Mnyandu’s arrest. Preliminary investigations suggest that Mnyandu was transporting the stolen vehicle to Malawi.
