Representing the Spouses Forum were Mrs. Tanya Gomez, Mrs. Amanda Titimani (spouse of Chaplain Titimani), and Mrs. Alta Swanepoel (spouse of the Flight Test Support Engineer), alongside Warrant Officer Joyce Williams, Forum Liaison. The hampers were delivered to Bredasdorp Concerned Mothers, Liefdesnessie Centre for the Elderly, Bethel Feeding Scheme, and Elpida Foundation in Napier

These NGOs collectively provide daily meals to around 150 individuals including children, adults, and the elderly many of whom depend entirely on their services. Each hamper contained non-perishable staples such as flour, porridge, starches, and other essential items.

The donations were made possible through the proceeds of monthly voluntary fundraising efforts by base members, demonstrating the base’s commitment to uplifting the broader community.

“The needs in our communities are dire, and the base will continue fulfilling our social responsibilities wherever possible. As the Prestige Base of the South African Air Force, we believe that together we can make a significant difference by spreading compassion, selflessness, and consideration.”

The initiative reflected the base’s values of compassion, determination, and unity, offering much-needed relief and reinforcing the Air Force’s role in community support.
