On the morning of 18 May 2021, a house break-in went wrong for four suspects that have troubled Bizana’s residence for a while. It is said that these young men have been breaking-in into a number of households stealing TVs, demanding money and raping women, on this day these suspects were caught by the community members trying to break into a container in Ludeke halt. Suspects were beaten up by the community during the questioning they confessed to these break-ins and told the community that an old lady who is the mother to one of them baths them with muti before they go commit these crimes so that people in the house will fall asleep.

These crimes have been committed in villages around Ludeke Halt,  Kwandela, Nomlacu, and Nyanisweni to mention but just a few. Right after the suspects were taken by the police, residents took a collective decision and went to the home of the very same suspect, ordering his family to pack and leave the following morning. Apparently, it is not the first time this family being banned by communities as this is said to be their 4th time. At a meeting held by the above-mentioned villages in Ludeke Halt on Sunday the 23rd of May it was agreed that the communities revisit this family as they did not abide by their decision.

A  group of furious community members who have had enough of these boys acts showed up at the boy’s home where there was no one else except for the shameless mother who only left when the villagers surrounded her home, she didn’t get a chance to take all their belongings but only managed to leave unharmed with two small plastic bags and one handbag leaving the community destroying and vandalizing her home, seemingly the community was not satisfied with all that when they were about to leave this house they started the fire just before the police arrived.
