South African rapper Sizwe Alakine, formerly known as Reason, made an unannounced appearance on the ‘Piano Pulse’ podcast to address comments made about his current relationship with fellow rapper Gigi Lamayne. In a previous episode, hosts Thakgi and Sfiso referred to his relationship with Lamayne as a “downgrade” from his former partner, media personality Luthando “Loot Love” Shosha.

During the confrontation, Reason questioned the hosts’ basis for labeling his relationship a downgrade, challenging the implications of their remarks on public perception and the message it sends to their audience.
