Pretoria resident Welhemina Montoedi has had an incredible year, being crowned the 1st Runner-up for Miss Influence South Africa 2024 and launching her own radio show on Green Village FM.

As a nurse studying to become a doctor, Montoedi is no stranger to hard work and dedication. “I’ve always been driven by a desire to help others,” she said in an interview. “My career in media has been a dream come true, and I’m grateful to have been given a radio slot at Green Village FM.”

Montoedi’s radio show, which airs worldwide from 10-12 am, focuses on beauty, health, wellness, and spiritual matters. “I’m committed to using my platform to build, inspire, and educate my listeners on various aspects of life, while also bringing awareness to important health conditions,” she said.

In addition to her radio show, Montoedi has also been working as a pageantry MC and judge, and has appeared on TV shows, including SABC 1. “One of my inspirations is Boity Thulo, whose calm and collected personality I admire,” she said.

Montoedi’s journey to success has not been without its challenges, but she remains committed to her goals. “I’ve faced challenges and setbacks, but I’ve never given up on my dreams,” she said. “Instead, I’ve used those experiences as opportunities to learn and grow.”

With her national title and radio show, Montoedi is an inspiration to many. “I’m excited to see what the future holds, and I’m grateful for the support of my loved ones and community,” she said.
