Ntombie Flatela: Inspiring Change and Empowering Youth on the Miss Inspire SA Stage

In the small village of Mgqwanqweni, Flagstaff, a beacon of empowerment named Ntombie (Zokuhle) Flatela is set to grace the stage of Miss Inspire South Africa, advocating for the upliftment of women and youth not only in her village but across the entire Eastern Cape region.

Flatela, a matric graduate currently pursuing further studies, sees opportunities to bring about change and make a difference in different communities. With a focus on dismantling societal double standards and norms, her advocacy aims to inspire young girls and boys, challenging them to aspire beyond limitations.

“My motivation to enter the pageant was the core value of leadership and wanting to utilize space, be a beacon of hope in my village.”

As a Miss Inspire SA finalist, Flatela reflects on her journey, emphasizing the importance of representation for her village and the broader youth community. Through workshops provided by Miss Inspire SA, she has honed her leadership skills, shaping her purpose to make a lasting impact.

“Don’t look on what the other person has and you don’t have; it’s about you and your authentic self, go with the mentality of learning as you have absolutely nothing to lose.” she advised
