Through the support of the Office of the Premier, Ntabankulu Local Municipality is revamping its internal streets through road surfacing. These infrastructure interventions will ensure a town’s new look for economic development. – Hon Mayor P.T Sobuthongo.

“Understanding that social amenities play a critical role in promoting social integration, economic growth and development, good health and general quality of life, the Municipality has constructed:

“We have committed as this Council to support and nurture Early Childhood Development in our space, and as such we have constructed:

  • Dumsi Pre-School in ward 02, Dumsi location.
  • Cedarville Pre-school in ward 14, Cedarville location.”

“A state of the art Traffic Department Facility has been constructed in the urban area since we assumed duties as this Council, an important milestone in arresting revenue leakages in our town. People of Ntabankulu will no longer travel to other towns to receive complete DLTC services”.

“Having realised that there is still more that needs to be done in relation to access roads, we are procuring a Yellow Fleet Plant (1 Roller; 1 Grader, 1 TLB, 1 Lowbed, and 2 Bakkies) at a total budget of R11 000 000.00. This will assist us to respond with speed and agility to road maintenance and trafficability in Ntabankulu.”

“Through the support of the Department of Rural Development and Land Reform partnered with DBSA, we are finally laying to rest the crisis of access in Dikidikini through the construction of bridge and access road”.

“We are overjoyed to announce that, following the engagements that we had with the Minister of Higher Education and Training in 2021 Hon Dr Blade Nzimande pertaining the establishment of an Agricultural College in Ntabankulu, an amount of  R80 000 000.00 has been committed for the construction of phase 01.”
