The motive behind my movement is because I felt like it’s good to be home at Sajonisi Youth Radio eMampondweni (Pondoland), highlighting where I come from is the most important thing for me just to inspire people who are less fortunate like me back then to know that you can fly beyond the sky, – expresses Yonwaba.

Despite her career transition, Yonwaba continues to manage her business, Yonwaba’s Beauty Fragrances, with dedication. She envisions expanding her enterprise, emphasizing its significance in her life.

Hosting three shows a week, Yonwaba brings her passion and empathy to the airwaves. “Sakhukula is the show that touches my heart the most. It’s not easy because sometimes I came across issues that I can relate to. I call it my therapy show,” she reveals, underscoring the emotional depth of her work.

Integrating gospel songs into her shows as a short prayer, Yonwaba finds solace and strength in her faith. She attributes her success to the unwavering support and connection she shares with her listeners, who affectionately nickname her, adding a personal touch to her work environment.

Looking ahead, Yonwaba envisions further growth and success in her career, aiming to venture into public radio stations and publish her book titled “He Took My Innocence and Left the Demons.” She extends her gratitude to her programs manager, Mjabulise Mzimela, for his continuous guidance and support.
