Kokstad, August 2024 — Road users in Kokstad should be prepared for temporary disruptions as the ‘Rehabilitation of CBD Roads Phase 4’ project gets underway. The project, managed by contractor Mabona Civils & Plant Hire, aims to rehabilitate approximately 1.5 kilometers of roads in the heart of Kokstad, with work expected to take six months to complete.
The roads undergoing rehabilitation include:
- Wylde Road (from Main Street to Murray Street)
- Coulter Street (from Hope Street to St Johns Street)
- Baker Street (from Main Street to St Johns Street)
- Barclay Street (from Hope Street to Main Street)
Residents and commuters should anticipate disturbances such as detours, temporary road closures, and potential delays. The municipality urges the community to exercise patience and adhere to temporary road rules and signs during this period.
