GroundUp is offering a three-month internship for reporters who regularly contribute to AIP publications. We will consider reporters who are recommended to us by AIP publications. The first three weeks of the internship will be spent in GroundUp’s offices in Cape Town. All expenses for the trip to Cape Town will be covered by GroundUp.
GroundUp will pay the reporter R12,000 per month before tax for the duration of the internship.
During the internship GroundUp will manage and edit the reporter’s work and help them plan a set of articles. There will be on-the-job training, including photography. Any publishable article will be co-published at an agreed time by the community publication (should the publication want the article) and GroundUp under this Creative Commons licence.
We hope to offer this internship regularly. To start off, we will take one intern starting on 1 August and two further interns starting on 1 September.
