Lebo Sekgobela

Lebo Sekgobela says, Nehemiah’s journey to rebuild the walls of Jericho sounded similar to what was taking place in 2020 during the coronavirus outbreak. She says friends and family were calling reporting different incidents, like death, divorce, people losing their jobs, or even critical hospital conditions which made it clear that the walls had fallen.

“I said Lord, I need to be re-built so that I can be a supporting structure to someone who needs me and that’s when I start writing down the songs that are in the album rebuilding the walls” said Lebo Sekgobela

The lion of Judah hit maker says the album is a measure of saying to people draw closer to God in the process of rebuilding what has been left in ruins. She says the rebuilding is going to take time it will need people to endure each other’s pain, to be kind, patient, loving, and gentle.

Rebuilding the walls tour with Lebo Sekgobela at the Wild Coast Sun

Songs like Dula le runa meaning stay with us, are testament of knowing that the process of rebuilding requires the presence of God in times of distress when people are not sure what could happen next, Lebo Sekgobela says the reality of things is that people are running on a low, and some see no point of being alive that is why she encourages people to learn not in their own understanding and allow God to rebuild the walls of whatever they lost in life.

Lebo Sekgobela will be live at the Wild Coast Sun Tropical Nites Theatre, she says people must come with a willing heart and tap into the anointing and grace as people gather together in worship.
