Four suspects accused of robbing a supermarket in Harding, KwaZulu-Natal, have been arrested after a dramatic police chase involving the RTI Kokstad team.
According to authorities, officers pursued the suspects after they attempted to flee the scene in a vehicle. During the chase, three suspects reportedly jumped out of the moving car while the driver was eventually cornered and arrested.
Police confirmed that stolen alcohol and a large amount of cash were recovered during the operation. The shop owner later identified the recovered money as part of the stolen goods.
An armed robbery case has been opened, and authorities have praised the swift response by the RTI team in bringing the situation under control.
The arrests come amid ongoing concerns about crime affecting businesses in smaller towns, with police urging communities to remain vigilant and report suspicious activity.
