Police in the Western Cape have opened an intensive investigation after three bodies were found inside a silver VW Polo at the corner of Hillcrest Road and Park Way in Montclair, Lentegeur, in Mitchells Plain, on 12 November 2025. The victims two men and a woman in their twenties had sustained fatal gunshot wounds.

What Happened

According to police, residents alerted authorities around 06:00 after spotting the parked vehicle with no movement inside. When officers arrived, they discovered three lifeless bodies. Preliminary findings indicate that the incident may be linked to ongoing gang-related activity in the area. Detectives have been assigned to pursue leads and identify those behind the killings.

Official Response

Police spokesperson confirmed that a specialised team has been tasked with the investigation. “Detectives are following several leads and working tirelessly to track down those responsible,” the statement issued by the SAPS read.
